How can I send a recipe from my smartphone to my Thermomix® TM7?
With Thermomix® Software Release 1.2 or later, you can easily send a recipe from your smartphone directly to your TM7. To do this, make sure that:
- Bluetooth® is enabled on your TM7
- Bluetooth® is enabled on your smartphone (in your phone’s general settings)
- Bluetooth® access is allowed for the Cookidoo® app (check your phone’s app permissions)
- Both your smartphone and TM7 are connected to the internet
Once these settings are confirmed, open the Cookidoo® app on your smartphone, select the recipe you wish to send, and tap the ‘Send to Thermomix®’ button. The recipe will then appear on your TM7, ready for you to start cooking.
What technology does the Recipe Handover use?
The Recipe Handover uses a combination of Bluetooth® and internet connectivity. Bluetooth® is used to detect if your TM7 is nearby and ready to receive the recipe. Once the connection is confirmed, the recipe data itself is sent securely over the internet to your TM7.
Do I need to set up anything on my Thermomix® TM7 to enable Recipe Handover?
After updating your TM7 to Software Release 1.2 or later, your device is ready to receive recipes - no additional setup on the Thermomix® TM7 is needed. The Cookidoo® app on your smartphone will guide you through a brief onboarding and setup process to enable Recipe Handover. If you ever wish to disable the Recipe Handover feature, you can do so at any time through the Thermomix® TM7’s settings menu.
What are the main benefits of the new Recipe Handover feature?
- Save time with 1-click transfer
- More fluid and efficient cooking workflow
- Shows how well Thermomix® TM7 and Cookidoo® are connected
What is Recipe Handover and how does it work?
Recipe Handover allows you to instantly send a recipe from your smartphone to your Thermomix® TM7 with just one tap, no need to touch your TM7. It uses Bluetooth® to detect your device and starts the recipe data transfer securely over the internet to your TM7.
Do I need to pair my smartphone with my TM7 for Recipe Handover to work?
No manual pairing is needed. If Bluetooth® is enabled and your smartphone is near the TM7, the system will automatically detect it and allow seamless handover.
Can I send a recipe to a Thermomix® TM7 which is linked to another Cookidoo account?
It is possible to enable this feature in "Settings > Remote Access > "Who is allowed to handover recipes? Everyone nearby". This reverts automatically back to "My Cookidoo Account" after a reboot.
Can I also send one of my "Created recipes" to another TM7?
The recipe handover works only for official Cookidoo® recipes, not for user created ones like for "Created recipes".
