Why do the round brush and side brush on my robot vacuum cleaner switch themselves off?

If the robot has got stuck, it will switch off the round brush and side brush so that they don’t get damaged.

Also, if the robot vacuum cleaner catches hold of fringes, for example, it will notice the resistance,

switch off the round brush and reverse back.

By spinning freely, the round brush can then free itself from the fringe.
