To ensure the TM7 3-month device trial is activated successfully, it is important to redeem the trial directly on the new TM7 device before purchasing a Cookidoo subscription via the web.
Following the correct activation flow will ensure that the 3-month device trial is applied properly to the Cookidoo account.
Adding payment details via web activates a regular membership
If payment details are added via the web first, the Cookidoo subscription is activated as a regular membership. Once this happens, the 3-month device trial can no longer be redeemed.
Please note that the 3-month device trial can only be redeemed when the membership status is shown as “Trial”.
Correct process to redeem the 3-month device trial
Please follow the steps below:
- Sign in on the TM7 device first
- Follow the on-screen instructions to redeem the 3-month device trial
- Payment details are still required, but the redemption process must be initiated on the TM7, not via the web
Important information
- Do not add payment details via the web before redeeming the 3-month device trial if you do not wish to be charged yet
- The redemption flow must be initiated on the TM7 to ensure the trial is applied correctly
Workaround
If payment details were already added before redeeming the 3-month device trial and you do not wish to be charged yet, the following workaround applies:
Scenario 1 – You have not been charged yet
If payment details were added but no charge has been made yet (still within the 30-day free trial period):
- You may delete the Cookidoo account
- Create a new Cookidoo account
- Redeem the 3-month device trial correctly via the TM7
Scenario 2 – You have already been charged
If you have already been charged for the initial (first) purchase:
- Please contact your local Customer Care team within 14 days of the initial purchase date to cancel it and process the refund where applicable
