Why are you updating the Cookidoo® Terms of Service?
We are updating the Terms to reflect the requirements of the EU Data Act.
The updated terms explain more clearly what technical and usage data is generated when connected products and related services are used, how that data helps us provide and improve the service, and how customers can request access to it.
What is the EU Data Act?
The EU Data Act is an EU law about data generated by connected products and related services.
Its goal is to give users more transparency and control over product-related data and to support innovation and fair competition in the digital market.
Does this change how I use Cookidoo®?
No. You can continue using Cookidoo® as usual.
This update does not change your cooking experience, recipe access, or subscription price.
What kind of data do you collect?
We collect technical and usage data needed to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the product and service, in line with applicable law. Responsible handling of your data is important to us.
Examples for collected data include:
- whether a device is on or off
- usage times
- connection status such as Wi-Fi or Bluetooth
Do you collect personal data?
Yes, some data related to the use of Cookidoo® and connected products may be personal data, such as account details, device identifiers, or technical data linked to an account.
Where personal data is involved, it continues to be protected under the GDPR. We take our responsibilities regarding personal data seriously.
Does the EU Data Act affect my privacy rights?
No. Your privacy rights under the GDPR remain unchanged.

If I already accepted through the email link, will I still see a pop-up?
No. If you have already accepted the updated Terms through the email link, you won’t be asked to accept them again.
How can I stop reminders about the updated Terms?
To stop receiving reminders, please review and accept the updated Terms.
Does this update give me a special right to terminate my subscription?
No. This Terms of Service update does not create a special right of termination.
