I received an email that says that Cookidoo® will become more expensive. Why is that?

Having this in mind also the overall increasing costs due to inflation, higher technical hosting costs and costs that we as a company cannot influence, a price increase for the Cookidoo® subscription has become inevitable.
Why is there a price increase for the Cookidoo® subscription?
We have decided to raise the Cookidoo® subscription price from 48 €/year to 60€/year starting from 29.07.2024 only for new customers as we would like to reward and value the loyalty of our already paying members. If customers have already subscribed to Cookidoo®, they don't have to worry. They just have to keep their payment details up to date, which will allow to have autorenewal active, and they will stay in the old price tier.
Will there be any new features/functionalities that justify the price increase?
Thermomix® and Cookidoo® are constantly evolving and we are working hard to always bring new features, modes and accessories for our customers. We just launched the sharing of your own created recipes, did you know? That means that also your family and friends can enjoy your very own creations. And although we are not bringing new features that fall into the timing of the price increase, this will of course also be true in the future! So you can be curious about what we bring next - because there will always be something new to discover.
Why does my neighbour pay 48€/year and I have to pay 60€/year although both of us can use the same functions on Cookidoo®?

What is the new price of the Cookidoo® membership?
The new price will be 60€/year with annual payment. The new pricing will start on 29.07.2024.
When will the price increase take effect?
The new price will become effective on July, 29th, 2024. Every customer subscribing on that day or after will pay the new price.
Will the price increase apply to existing subscribers or only new subscribers?
The new price will be only applied to all new subscriptions. The time of account registration, device activation or device purchase is not considered. Ensure that you are subscribing to Cookidoo® prior to 29.07.2024.

How long do I have to confirm my Cookidoo® subscription after it expires to keep the 48 €/year price?
You can confirm your 48 €/year subscription any time before the price increase that will happen on 29.07.2024. Please make sure that your payment details are up to date, and then you are ready to go.
Will my annual subscription automatically renew to the new price when it expires?
No, your subscription will automatically renew at the old price of 48€/year unless you cancel it or until the renewal fails due to payment issues. So please make sure to keep your payment data up-to-date and watch for communication in case of payment failures.
I do not want to pay more and subscribed to 48€, will it automatically adjust now to 60€?
No, it will automatically renew at the old price. If you have not cancelled your subscription at any point in time and your payment details are up to date, you will have your subscription still for the old price.
I do not want any new features and remain on the 36€/year price plan. I like Cookidoo® as it is and I don't want to pay more.
Then there's good news for you! You can stay in your 36€/year price and you don't have to change anything. Just make sure that your detail payments are up to date and you will be staying in this pricing for your Cookidoo® subscription. But be aware that you won't receive any new feature that we bring to Cookidoo® in the future. If you are nevetheless curious about new features, you can upgrade your subcription now for still 48€/year until 29.07.2024. If you take the decision after this date, you will have to pay 60€/year.
I am currently on a free trial and would like to continue my Cookidoo® subscription at the old price. Do I have to start paying now?
You can start your Cookidoo® subscription at any point in time before the price increase on 29.07.2024 to make sure that you can get it for the old price for 48€/year. Of course, your subscription starts only when your free trial has run out. Naturally, the first payment is only due after your trial period is over. We will show the applicable price and the concrete payment date during the subscription process.
Will there be a more flexible payment model available?
Annual payments are considered as preferred option to ensure a longterm use of our platform without dealing with any payment issues. Still we are working on more flexible options for our customers.
Will the cancellation period be more flexible?
We will keep the cancellation periods as they are today.
